@Manlyburger Craig McCracken, Genndy Tartakovsky, and Van Partible all are still making cartoons that people who wish they could have worked on things like PPG, Dexter’s Lab, and Johnny Bravo back in the 90’s can apply for now
I bought a knife and amazon promptly recommended these to me as “things I might be interested in”
@yugiohtas I still say Bryan Fuller is the ideal American Phoenix Wright director, because campy bright cartoon crime noir is basically exactly what Pushing Daisies was
@marshmallowpush When I started working on Pipeburn I was like “well obviously Gray is the wonderful perfect one why would he want this guy’s drama” and eventually realized that falling in love with self-absorbed show ponies is absolutely both why he’s chronically dumped and falling for this guy
Motorcycles are great because you can wear basically anything and say it’s to keep you safe on your motorcycle.
This feels like those “how far from the beach is a swimsuit underwear” debates, like, how far do you have to stand from the parade before it stops being scandalous to dress like a sexy biker and goes back to being regular ol’ high octane gender performance.
You know what I think could actually be a pretty cool American live action adaptation, if someone gave @BryanFuller the keys to a live action Phoenix Wright series that had the same kind of bright, cheery, saturated murder mystery tone as Pushing Daisies
I think they call this aesthetic “The Entire Cast of Full Throttle, Simultaneously”.
