Me @ myself every single page of this comic: “well you finished that scene with the complicated environment, the next page will be easy and go quick”
The next page, every time:
@batshaped I realize too late the better response would have been this;
@marigolds @batshaped The only like “conventionally pretty” female Disney villains that come to mind are probably Mother Gothel and Maleficent
@marigolds @batshaped I mean, Ursula was modeled off of the drag queen Divine, Cruella looks kind of like she’s on the wrong end of a supermodel coke addiction, and the Snow White Queen spends all her most memorable scenes as an old hag
@batshaped I feel like a lot of the central male protagonist main characters of that era follow the same kind of agreeable-good looks rules compared to their villains
@batshaped A lot of the fairytale prince characters and stuff end up being very classically handsome guys. Rumor has it Flynn was the product of gathering all the women on the crew to make the most designed-by-committee-tiger-beat-dreamy-boy possible
@batshaped And I mean, that formula of “good guy team are wooden dolls, bad guy team are broad and rubbery” applies to all genders in a lot of media, Pocahontas is one of the clearest go-to examples of this hahaha
@Skjaldmotur I promise Pipeburn will be like 4000% hotter than these Bouncer comics when I finish it hahaha
