It’s a sunrise painting day in the studio.
Here’ a detail from one of the oil paintings for my current project - Sidmouth Sunrise
A few weeks ago, I sketched out this oil painting of the Cornish coast. Today, I’m going to start adding detail and colour.
Each time I work on an oil painting, it has to dry for a week so I can apply the next layer of paint without mixing the colours on the painting surface.
Today, I’m working on this little oil painting of Lourdes.
It’s in its very early stages, but I can already tell that it’s going to be a special little painting. It reminds me of listening to the bells ringing out across the sanctuary of Lourdes - it’s a really beautiful sight.
Today, I thought I’d share some close up shots of my oil paintings.
I really enjoy painting a mist filled distance that feels almost abstract.
This afternoon, I finished an animation project that I’ve been working on for almost a year. It’s been a real pleasure to draw, and especially over the last week. It’s helped me focus in a very stressful world.
I’ll be able to show you the finished version this Easter.
I thought I’d share some of my sunny oil paintings to brighten up your day. Enjoy. 🌞
I’d like to wish everybody a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
I’m looking forward to a busy 2020. I’ve got two major exhibitions planned, that I’ll announce after Christmas and lots of exciting things going on.
It’s all rain, rain, rain at the studio today, so I thought I’d share some of my paintings to brighten up your day.
Enjoy. 🌞
It’s looking like another sunny weekend on the @jurassic_coast. So, I thought I’d share some of my sunny paintings to get you in the summer mood. Enjoy. 🌞🌞
Happy #devonday everybody.
I'm very lucky to live and work in stunning Devon. Below, are some of my favourite Devon paintings I've worked on in the last 4 years.
