Adam is assumed to be premiering in Guardians 3, which should be interesting because in comics he has a famous connection with the Soul Stone. One of the biggest loose threads regarding the Guardians now is Gamora and her memories, after she was sacrificed for the Soul Stone. Hmm
What is Man-Thing? Well... that’s a long story. But basically it’s a monstrous anti-hero, created from a polluted swamp and drawing power from people’s fears. Man-Thing is a very high-concept character that even the comics rarely talk about now.
12.) Dr Faustus
Another Hydra villain, Faustus is a master of psychology, able to speak at the perfect frequency to make anyone who hears him highly susceptible to influence. It’s basically mind control. He appeared in the first Season of Agent Carter.
In the comics, Cosmo had actually been a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. He is a dog sent into space bu the Russian space program during the Cold War, and cosmic radiation has made him live longer and given him telepathy. His mind thinks with a Russian accent. He’s great.
9.) The Inhumans
Just... all of them. The whole family. This show happened, and it kinda scuttled any significance the Inhumans can reasonably have in the MCU. It’s a shame; Blackbolt, Medusa, Karnak, Gorgon, Crystal, Triton, Maximus and ESPECIALLY Lockjaw are fun characters.
In the comics, Helen has a very important son, Amadeus Cho, boy genius. Amadeus gets in and out of superhero shenanigans using his ridiculous cognitive processing. And eventually invents a way to “take the Hulk from Banner”, becomes the Totally Awesome Hulk! I want him in movies!
8.) Dr. Helen Cho
An important plot device in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”, Helen is a biologist who invented the Cradle, a way of synthesizing body tissue. This saves Hawkeye’s life at one point and allows Ultron to create vision. But she’s not who I’m concerned with...
1.) Doc Samson
A scientist and psychiatrist who was also affected by gamma radiation, he was a hero who sometimes had friction with the Hulk. In “The Incredible Hulk” movie, he is played by Ty Burrell of all people, famous for Modern Family. Weirdest casting ever.
I kinda dig how Pyro and Mythra got two separate numbers, the same way Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard did. I like that consistency.
Question for #TalesOf fans:
How do you all feel about Edna from #TalesOfZestiria ?
