Wow, after all these years I am just now finding the single most relatable sequence in the history of superhero comics.

Finally, in the end, Superman cancels doomsday. Not the fighty death monster but the actual event.

This page looks great, and it was a good reminder to me how hard this art team has leveled up as this run has progressed.

JLA #41: The thundering conclusion, um, concludes in this issue. I’m sure plans evolved as the books were created, but this really feels like such a well-planned story, with everything from Zauriel to Aztek coming to bear in the end. Fantastic. #GMosJLA

I think this run’s one glaring weakness is how it uses Wonder Woman, both in the very male gaze-y art in the first 2/3 of the story and in how often she’s regulated to the background. This, however, is a Very Good Wonder Woman moment.
