Finally finished this story yesterday, it was rather good- I think the Ice Warriors were interestingly served, though some of the more interesting aspects remained sadly underbaked. The Doctor and Ace drama similarly felt like it started too quickly and ended too easily

Pyramids of Mara is so insanely represented by the Character Options figures- most classic stories only get a lot of figures if they’re home to tons of Dalek or Cybermen variants but I think the line’s creators must be really fond of this story.

A Town Called Mercy is by default the best episode of Series 7 for me- it’s like a 7.25/10, just average for a usual NuWho series but it’s peers make it look better. But it’s got it’s own merits, I just wish we’d had a bit more time with the episode’s interesting concepts

The Macra Terror bid such a great example of how wild Doctor Who can be because they spend a lot of time setting up this dystopian society, trying to create forced perfection and disregarding it’s own problems for that goal
