Okay, I wanted to try working with gouache a bit again (we don't speak of the last time I used it) so here's a Riven painting on smooth Bristol paper to study some lighting and focus on brush strokes 🤪

I wanted to try to do some textures with acrylic for this one contrasted with smooth shading and shapes. It's about seeing paradoxes and contradictions as they are and coming to terms with confusion and nonsensical scripts

Made with watercolor (and some watercolor pencils), I'm pretty happy with how this turned out! Kind of building on some of my previous pieces, this is about being caught and stopped from falling any further, and how life-altering it's been
