WHAT I WILL SAY on the topic is that one of the big themes of Inferno 2.0 is "women will no longer tolerate being the puppets of arrogant men" and if that ain't the original flavor Inferno we all know and love idk what is #XSpoilers

The mess of their relationship and the way this plot has undermined any of their respective character development has the deck stacked high against Weezie... but if anyone was cut out for the job, it's a talent as great as her.

Look no further than Scott *immediately* making the explosion of his former love's sister's house somehow about Madelyne, not much differently than Jean made Madelyne's disappearance about herself a few panels pre-explosion.

To be frank, both characters (and Madelyne, obviously) have been denied dignity by this plotline that we are sadly stuck with through the end of Inferno... and here's hoping each gets a lot less selfish and insufferable as the story marches on.

...possible reveal as a mutant had Claremont's appeal been granted ahead of the book's launch.

The sad reality, though, is that it wasn't–and so both Weezie & we readers are trapped in the character-assination-death-spiral that is the dissolution of Scott and Maddie's marriage.
