Look no further than Scott *immediately* making the explosion of his former love's sister's house somehow about Madelyne, not much differently than Jean made Madelyne's disappearance about herself a few panels pre-explosion.

To be frank, both characters (and Madelyne, obviously) have been denied dignity by this plotline that we are sadly stuck with through the end of Inferno... and here's hoping each gets a lot less selfish and insufferable as the story marches on.
