RETAILERS! Check your email! The Direct Channel newsletter we just released contains links to advance reads of the first *TWO* issues of both BATMAN: THE IMPOSTER and CATWOMAN: LONELY CITY -- and reveals the 1:25 covers for each, by Kaare Andrews and @Jock4twenty, respectively!
This is the editorial coup of all editorial coups by @Paul_Kaminski. Also, those covers, oofta.
And in fact, we just finished the design on it last week. All twelve issues in one big softcover, out November 16th. https://t.co/JoFfIZm2Yd
THE DREAMING: WAKING HOURS #12 is out today. It’s our final issue — a sentence I hoped to never type. I never wanted to wake up from this one.
Can I recap #DCBlackLabel's October for you? Because we are, if I'm being honest, just ludicrously proud of it. My endless thanks to the team -- @mehowell, @whatthe_shea, and @Marquis_Draper -- without whom we could never bring you this many great books.
ICON & ROCKET #1's variant covers, revealed! Now on FOC, orders due this week. "Old School" by Darryl Banks, "New School" by Doug Braithwaite, and that 1:25 by Reina Koyano! Rocket: SHE is the icon SHE is the moment. On sale July 27! #Milestone
It seems the news is out.
Last night we lost John Paul Leon, one of the greatest draftsmen in the history of comics, the kind of artist that EVERY artist revered. Those who loved him had some warning, but not enough.
THE DREAMING: WAKING HOURS #9. In which our story becomes, ahem, horny on main. From @GWillowWilson @ArtofNickRobles @_matlopes_ and @SimonBowland in April. (Yes: this was the cover for which the comics industry created Nick in a lab, lo those many years ago.)
Two absolutely terrific #DCBlackLabel books are in stores this Wednesday! For periodicals there's THE DREAMING: WAKING HOURS #5, the conclusion of our first arc -- and in collections, the hardcover of WONDER WOMAN: DEAD EARTH. Which I CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH.
