Flying Proud

@MrYGuy2 Nope, mainstream comics the time were already just as violent and bloody.
And indie comics in the 90s were doing this uber violence thing long before Invincible.
Invincible isn't special int hat regard.
@MrYGuy2 Superheroes started as this kid-friendly, pulpy colorful thing, and at some point we started subverting that trope to be darker, until the darkness and violence became status quo.
So now stuff like this is business as usual.
Invincible show has a point with how fucked up this secret identity shit is. Peter gaslit this woman for months and she almost had a nervous breakdown. Then he finally succeeded, and we're supposed to believe it's a happy end.
I personality feel bad for Black Cat and Debbie Whitman, cause they were conceptualized as "The wrong girl", so they never had a chance to begin with. Yo, but at least Black Cat got to smash Micheal "Marvel Legend" Morbius in the animated series. Debbie got cucked by her.
Frankly I'm glad, I'm sick of this character design.
Mfs see a generic white lady with red hair and green eyes and go "Oh my god, the perfect woman🥺" https://t.co/mlbHPdPIlZ
"Think about it... The killer wanted us to believe it is called 'Oven'. But what they forgot about is that you of in the cold food of out hot eat the food!"
