The first female superhero was Phantomah, Msyery Woman of the Jungle. It's obviously dated stuff, but man, I love that design. Both of them.

I can imagine him being a red herring, a fanboy of Carlo's showing his open distaste for the remake, only for it to turn out he was also a killer, or an accomplice.

I feel like a good villain for The Batman sequel would be Clayface. The original Basil Carlo Clayface who didn't have powers, he was just a murderer wearing a mask out of clay. Basil is driven to murder because they're making a remake of his movie without him.
