One final piece of trivia about the early animation is there's some early drafts where Carey doesn't have the holes in his shirt.
For those who don't know, the reason they exist is because Careys wings rip any shirt he wears when revealed (This also shows a pre-hair tuft Grey)

The biggest example of this issue is Pebble. At the time the script was written, Pebble was still Vi's super goofy and wacky persona and not the more reclusive and cynical cat you see today. So the Pebble in the short still reflects this, even keeping his early design.
