Trimming my portfolio is always SUCH a nerve-wracking feeling!😱
it's like taking a weed wacker to my prized rose bush... but it always looks so much better once I do it! 🌹✨

*Chanting in environment art*
Getting the font to look like carved stone was honestly harder than painting half of this thing!
I didn't sink too much time into the base, but really happy with the level I got it to for Vi ✨

While I was chipping away at Vi I worked on the base! I know a base wasn't really required, but I saw how much cooler it made pieces look, and really wanted to make Vi the best she could be 🌊✨

Honestly once I got the color in right, I added some face warmth and then it was refine city!
The only screenshots I have of Vi in color are from weird angles, as I am now looking at the piece under a microscope 🧐 But trust me a LOT of lil painting details went into this!

And honestly? it was well worth the push!! I lot of this I could have also done post color, but to make my Chroma life easier I stayed in grayscale for as long as possible!🖤🤍🖤🤍

Here's where things kinda hiccuped for me! I thought I was ready to move on, or rather I knew our last meeting was coming up so I pushed to be done...
but truthfully she wasn't done, and I needed to push the grayscale more. 😤

A lot of this thread is just showing off how I rendered... and then rendered some more! Let me tell you I then, and until like right up into the end... did NOT understand how to render those tentacles 🐙
