@Scrambyuk Yes, it was my design. Marlon Brando in Julius Caesar was the inspiration for him.
I do love to “hide” easter eggs on my pages. One of the latest has been to place Max und (and) Moritz on Arrowsmith-Behind the Enemy Lines #6.
“Max und Moritz” was created by german author Wilhem Bush in 1865 and has been considered a big influence on classic comics.
I’ve just recalled the wonderful work by Bob Larkin and Earl Norem on the Planet of the Apes magazine covers….
@IvanFdezSilva Qué va! Son un homenaje a Uderzo y su Michel Tanguy, uno de mis comics favoritos de chaval. (No recuerdo haber visto Top Gun…… )
Some Marvel artists of that time did covers for those Malibu books but Malibu had its own creative teams for the interior pages but the GEORGE PÉREZ powerhouse art who were a freelance during those days.
…que mataría de envidia a los mismísimos Crepax y Steranko (no sé si me equivoco, pero siempre vi un toque Crepax en ella). La descubrí en INSECTO (interesante juego de palabras) y fue obligado ir hacia atrás y hacia delante.
I’ve just recalled that the issue 21 of the SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN 80’s spanish edition (Planeta-De Agostini) -#60 USA- included a few storyboard pages that Neal Adams did for his own Conan movie opening scene. Obviously this movie never existed, it was just in Neal’s mind.
