You know that Knuckles TV show spin-off?
I think a good basis for it is Knuckles Chaotix, with Espio, Vector, etc. I don't think Eggman would be the villain in it, but an interesting choice would be Fang/Nack.
He was prominent in the classic era, and has history with Knuckles.

Gren-del is immortal and can dematerialise anything with the faces in his sludge. He can also morph his body.
TCO is immortal, has control over every element, a range of other abilities (shapeshifting, superspeed, etc.), flight, ability copying, etc.

Teela:
Teela finds Kirinika adorable, and kind of treats her like a little sister. She thinks Kirinika's toughness is just a facade.
Despite this, Kirinika finds Teela extremely annoying, but doesn't show it often.
