Once upon a time, I used to use ms paint to draw, even when I was in college. I was happy since it was free and simple to use. Eventually I began using IbisPaint X and left ms paint behind. I decided to put what I learn back to ms paint and got this

(Actually i only recently have been playing with layers usually i would have 4 layers max)
This might be a little late but if you ever think you'll never be good at art just draw an have fun. Don't be afraid to have mistakes, experiment, use references and over time your progress will show. Celebrate that progress.
