as for chinese voicebanks, I’d highly recommend using xia yu yao in openutau!! her file size may be a bit intimidating, but it’s definitely worth it. she also has an ai voicebank that’s currently being developed!
if you’re thinking of working with english utau voicebanks, I’d recommend arachne -tarantula- and milk english!! arachne has an impressive amount of pitches and extras, while milk sounds amazing with the default openutau phonemizer. both are configured exceptionally well!!
mimi-ya has the most unique tone out of any utau I’ve ever seen!! her energetic and recognizable voice makes her a blast to work with
gekiyaku has a youthful tone that’s instantly recognizable, no matter which of her several voicebanks you’re working with! most of her voicebanks are relatively easy to work with, but I’d recommend her placebo and painkiller voicebanks to beginners.
number bronze has a voicebank for just about any occasion in various recording formats, although I’d recommend sticking with their VCV voicebanks if you’re a beginner!! my favorite vb of theirs is their nebura voicebank.
ezekiel cherry has a bright and powerful tone. he has quite a few extras and he’s configured extremely well, so I’d absolutely recommend him if you want to get more acquainted with using VCV.
