When Wally was an adult, he accidentally went to the past and told his younger self how his life is gonna turn around, it was the one thing that got him going through his childhood, aside from Iris.

Wally had a horrible relationship with his parents, they were neglectful and abusive when he was growing up. They didn’t care about him and he knew it.
