Guro's design was originally inspired by Earl Sweatshirt, though as he evolved, he took on the 'poofy hair' that was originally intended for Agnes. As for him being a stoner, we're from the Netherlands and Colorado - that's the only kind of high schooler we know, baby!

We agreed early on that Axel would be the type of character who'd love logo shirts and ironic tees. So naturally, there's some easter eggs hidden in their wardrobe...

In a similar fashion, Byrne was named after the musician David Byrne. His design was inspired by another conspiracy-obsessed character, Shuichi from Uzumaki. Which probably explains why originally, he was even MORE pale, if you can believe that!

Agnes was originally based on old character design exercise done by Noah back in 2020! During early development, we often referred to her as 'Velma' (for obvious reasons). Her eventual name Agnes was inspired by the French filmmaker, Agnes Varda.
