In the files of DOOM (1993), there is an unused sprite of a hornless Cacodemon titled "bald_caco.bmp". Information on this sprite is sparse, as interviewers collectively swore off discussion with developers after they "put their fingers on their lips, and shushed them".
"Sonic's World Adventure" is a rejected educational title by The Software Toolworks using the Sonic license. The game was re-tooled as "Mario is Missing!" after SEGA was insistent on adding a werewolf-like transformation to Sonic.
In "Skullgirls", Fukua's moves came from a cut Filia and Samson pair that was scrapped due to balancing issues. Creative director Alex Ahad states: “This was Filia at her strongest, and there is no way it could ever be properly balanced; it just wouldn't be a fair character."
Terraria has a cut NPC in its files known as "Long Face Man.” Andrew Spinks revealed that it was cut from the game after experiencing repeated nightmares. It's likely that this NPC was an inspiration for the Face Monster enemy (Pictured right), added to the game later on.
Did You Know? The Happy Mask Salesman used to carry a Guy Fawkes Mask with his inventory in an early model. This appears to have been swapped with the Mario mask in the final design to avoid association with the internet hacking group, Anonymous.
The track "Sky Should be High" From "Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR-" is titled that because series creator Daisuke Ishiwatari was insistent that the sky was approximately 20 ft tall. To him, this is not high enough.
In the project files for Five Nights at Freddy's (2014), there is an asset named "1987 Bear". This disproves the much-popular community theory that Toy Bonnie did the Bite of '87.
