Still thinking about this one from u/The-pathetic-bat on Reddit.
I feel like people often forget that, while the Godzilla franchise has always had strong science fiction roots, Kong has always been about fantasy. Kong is a fantasy character who stars in fantasy movies. Fantasy movies should be given more leeway and acceptance.
One of the reasons I didn't rush back to YouTube to cover Godzilla VS Kong or Singular Point was due to spoilers. I wanted to give people from outside countries a chance to see the film and the show.
Starting next week, I'll be posting spoilers. Please watch out and be careful.
I see three credits: Matthew Jeng, James Van Der Reyden, and Sinead Lau for motion capture on Godzilla VS Kong. Does anyone know if motion capture was actually done for the film and if so, who played the Kaiju?
Tonight at 5PM Pacific Time I will be doing a Godzilla Vs Kong LIVE watchalong using HBO Max. Just like with the other MonsterVerse Watchalongs, I'll be streaming my commentary of the movie and talking with you guys.
I hope to see you all there.
When the humans are just along for the ride people complain about the lack of development. Despite when the characters are developed they still complain. They aren't satisfied with the characters not getting "proper time." Then they say the Kaiju stuff is weighed down by the ppl.
I get very similar vibes between this poster and the GVK image.
@OmniandSnazzy I think that will change in this movie. Not only did Kong interact with the Iwi positively in Skull Island: The Birth Of Kong, but cave paintings also show him and humanity together. Plus, the GVK clip implies a deeper connection.
The MonsterVerse is just consistently on another level!
No one can keep up!
Notice Jet Jaguar on the Otaki outfits. I guess I was on point with that prediction?
