I'm getting into SATURDAY AM's books...the premise behind their publishing scheme is great; they serialize online like Shonen Jump, and publish tanks when they have enough, with an eye to diversity of creators and content.
Books are high quality in terms of creative talent.
Picked up GUNHILD by Fred Tonager, published by SATURDAY AM, an original 'manga' publisher that serializes online, with an eye towards diverse creators.
It is REMARKABLY CHARMING. : |
The cartooning is incredible, and the story charming and novel.

I got @Wheeler and Travis Moore's SINS OF THE BLACK FLAMINGO vol 1 in my pull today, and it's such a GORGEOUS book. I'm going to read it on the bus tomorrow.
It's basically 'What if Arsene Lupin was a gay arch-fiend' which is one of the best pitches I can imagine.
@zdarsky has an incredible ability to not only find novelty, but EMOTION, in his work and has made me cry multiple times with his writing, but it was the origin of Linda the Duck and Shocket Raccoon that first disarmed and demolished me.
Indescribably beautiful. https://t.co/w47Sur37QJ
THE ALL-NIGHTER by my friend @zdarsky and @Rebel_Loo (published by Dark Horse).
LOVE & WAR by @Wheeler and Killian Ng (Comixology Original).
Also by @zdarsky, art by Ramon Perez, STILLWATER (published by Image).
And coming up...THE SINS OF THE BLACK FLAMINGO also by @Wheeler. https://t.co/azPFQTrG4R
Also, I don't remember seeing Scorpia in the original SHE-RA, but MAN was her design DOPE! O__O How did I miss her!?!
