This sounds like me venting and probably is. The best way I can describe it is a sometime beautiful rollercoaster. I don't pretend to 'understand' my emotions. I never have. Scarry? Yes. Confused? Yes. Exhausted and tired? Very. Now peace. Andrew
My teacher paintings (self-portraits) September 2019. #AutismAtWork #autistic #teacher
@jimgblair @NHSEngland @CarterTreacle An absolute must for children and young adults. More work and support is needed for adults too.
@Clara_MdB @NHSEngland For children and young adults this is vital and has took too long to be recognised. As an adult I feel completely forgotten about. I don't matter. Belittled and dismissed by those that are supposed to care.I can't be the only one? @BorisJohnson @NHS #autisticburnout
@soundcube @NHSEngland @BorisJohnson Our voices are either ignored, we are belittled, dismissed or we just 'don't matter to you.'But WE do.This is tragic, the reality it is happening.Hundreds cannot become a 'lost generation'.@NHSEngland @BorisJohnson @commaficionado #ASD @louistheroux @CarrieGrant1 @JohnBishop100
@NHSEngland Absolutely vital for children and young adults. Adult services are needed too. We cannot be a 'forgotten generation'. Where is the help and support for adults? Will you be 'reviewing' this too? Action is needed not the usual talk. @louistheroux #NHS
Teenage self (self-portrait) #autistic #autismawareness #Autism #teachertwitter
I tried to draw visually changes in how I 'see' the environment around me. From relative calm, to over stimulation.
@DanielleS2019 Thank you. Looking at them now (these are about 6 months old) the struggles were clear. The 'chains' of thoughts sometimes are too much for me now just as when I was a teenager.
Some of my first drawings. I was very, very low at the time of drawing these. Andrew #AutismAwareness
