I wanted to bring some more diversity to the characters, but many of them already had established looks. Molliver didn't have an official toy and I couldn't find much about her, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to make some changes. #dnd
Here is my concept of the Fataar from Dragonbond: Lords of Vaala. The brief I received said that they "have blue skin, massive tusks, a horned head, and are heavily muscled. They carry massive eastern-style mauls/maces to battle."
The dreamscape goblins were described as "old English fae goblins; 2' tall w/ spindly limbs, pixie wings, bird-like feet, and outlandish hair (I call this one the Rufio). Their garb is similar to the dream elves, but w/ a homely, worn-but-whimsical feel." https://t.co/wbTCic1Hck
Next up is Zargash. He wants to rule the land and he thinks a little too highly of himself. I don't think there was an official toy for him, but I could be wrong. Original art by Tim Truman. #dnd
Kelek from the upcoming The Wild Beyond the Witchlight. I tried to pull things from previous drawings and descriptions but there were a few details I missed, like his ring and skull bracers. #dnd
You can't have Warduke without Strongheart! From The Wild Beyond the Witchlight. @wizkidsgames made some awesome minis from my redesigns. #dnd
My Warduke painting from The Wild Beyond the Witchlight was previewed by WotC. Trying to find the balance between staying true to the original design and updating it was challenging. #dnd
I also painted all five lands as a seamless pentaptych. This unlocks at the $200k goal. https://t.co/7DDhzWK4GP
I have some art as rewards from @cardamajigs Kickstarter. Check it out! https://t.co/7DDhzWK4GP
Mind Flayer from Magic: The Gathering - Adventures in the Forgotten Realms. @jacobsontyler did an awesome job concepting the mind flayers, so I was super pumped that I got to paint one. #mtgafr #dnd
