I had to make a break from my documentation to not go crazy.
Now that I have her in red hair in season 2 I had to go for an experimental portrait of Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold from #TheWitcher - my favourite character from the games.

Before I have to go off my beloved painting in every free minute (unfortunately my job does require me finally doing my end-of-term documentations ... 😭) I did an experimental first block sketch after the inspiration and tips from the artist Philip Sue on IG.

I'm just watching #StarTrekPicard - so my latest experimental portrait had to be #SevenofNine 💖

It was a fun colour battle and a good way to wind down for the night. Everybody in my time zone sleep well!

Morning practise is done - time for breakfast 😎😇

One freehand sketching went great this morning (first one) - then I jumped right into the next out of enthusiasm - and nothing worked (as you can see on the second first sketch) that needed a looooot of shifting details around.

This tutorial is one of the best I've seen so far 👌. It suits my approach, because it does not use layers for the portrait itself (too many layers totally confuse me) I watched it while simultaneously trying out what I heard. Approx. 1 hour speedpaint
