In 1998, Kon founded the iconic teen superhero team ‘Young Justice’ alongside Robin (Tim Drake) and Impulse (Bart Allen). Characters such as Wonder Girl, Arrowette and Secret would later join the team.

With the return of Superman, Superboy decides to leave Metropolis and travel. He soon arrives to Hawaï where he decides to stay. During his time at the islands, he called himself ‘The Hero of Hawaï’.

Superboy got his own series during this time.
