As for Flash, I love how he's always in a cycle of getting crazy outfits, losing them (for various reasons), and repeat, so I wanted to design a new one. My eternal pal @PerpetualGayle recommended taking in the shorts (Fig 3), and the Fig 1 star ended reading better at a distance

As can often happen, I think the inks lost some of the sketch's energy -- it was my first work for Matt (and DH) in a while and I might've got in my head a little. I should've kept the sword's sweep line, too... maybe a trail of that great blue alien blood to suggest the motion.
