Last week’s Doctor Fate discussions reactivated my gigantic love of golden age superhero comics, and it’s led me to rediscover just how incredible the original Jerry Siegel / Bernard Baily Spectre is. He’s like if Elliot Stabler was Bruce Almighty, he’s GREAT

...although romance typically take a back seat to solving crimes/avoiding being murdered

Thanks! I was worried it'd restrict him, but it ended up balancing out his silhouette; he's gone from an acute triangle in S1 to a nice dynamic hourglass in S2. A warmup spun out of a "who do you want to work on" conversation w/ @HunterBlackComx. I like Dr. Fate's original concept a ton: he was abducted as a kid and indoctrinated into being a creepy wizard cop, but now he's met this spooky lady and he's discovering he has feeeelings 💛💀
