The October "Horror Anime" challenge was fun. There were still a number of horror anime I was hoping to get to (Vampire Princess Miyu, La Blue Girl, Monster, Angel of Darkness, etc), but there’s always next year!

October 29 - Mystery of the Necronomicon
Thrilled to find a horror anime about the Necronomicon. Wasn’t quite what I was expecting & the book doesn’t play much of a role until the last 2 eps. Animation’s limited, but delivers on horror & gore.

Day 20 - Dusk Maiden of Amnesia
Going into this I expected less humor and more horror, but that wasn't the case. It was still a very enjoyable ghost story. Bonus points for great music and extremely detailed background art.

Day 19: Legend of the Wolf Woman
This one may have been better if they went the Kite route and focused on story instead of just hentai scenes. Premise was pretty wacky & tried to be more ambitious than it needed to be. Nice character designs, tho

Day 11: Another
Re-watched the first two episodes (seen the entire series before). I really like this one. Gripping story with a creepy vibe throughout. The last few episodes really go full throttle. Highly recommend the manga too.

Day 9: Alien of Darkness
As with Lily C.A.T., this one’s another “homage” to 1979's Alien (though with an 18+ spin). The story's interesting & I liked the art style/character designs. Apparently, this one’s also known as Alien from the Darkness.
