Mother and son.
Aard got his ears, ice blue eyes and black-white coat from his late father, Hurst, but he also got some of his mother's softer features.
His mother, Ylvi, works as a cobbler in her husband's old shop in the more run down districts of Vanbo.

Here's the full cast of main protagonists of my new Comic project, Aard - The Shaderoad.

Aardrich, his best friend Marrik and the siblings Rigwein and Rast, must all flee their own country of Vanerheim, as the invading Naronian legions sweep across their ancestral homeland...

Rast, son of Haroth is the forth and final member of the protagonist quartette.
Rast is proud and quick to action. Being the brother of Rigwein and the oldest among the kids (16yo), he often gets a bit carried away in leading them, carrying most of the burdens and being the boss.

Marrik, Son of Kyne.

Marrik, or Marr, is the main protagonist Aard's unlikely best friends. Marr, in comparison to Aard, was born in a well respected upper middle class family. He might be the smallest in the group, but he has a keen intellect - and big soft eyes...

That's a year of daily doodles!! It's been extremely time consuming and demanding, but its had a profound effect on my drawing style and how comfortable I feel as I draw.
