Good morning.
This little, beautiful bird now taps my window every morning.
Why?
Please my friends look after your mental health in this time of crisis
It’s all too easy with all going on to forget the smallest signs of creeping depression
I missed the signs this week...
Don’t be a Dan
You’re important too & this is a strange time, be aware x
#dontbedan
I don’t know how or why, but since I’ve been (like you all) championing the need to highlight our disabled children’s care in the #coronavirus outbreak I’m losing followers like anything.. no idea who I’ve upset trying to raise awareness.. none at all.
Sigh.
Apparently, a teenage superhero in a wheelchair with her fellow disabled superhero companions are not what TV & the print industry want or think will sell.
Disability continues to be seen as fringe or untouchable by the media moguls.
I was utterly gobsmacked by the quality of my 13 yr old daughters artwork at parents evening
When the naysayers, the system & those in charge of #SEN funding don’t believe disabled children are worth investing in
Show them that they very much ARE
It’s #carersrightsday next week
Wouldn’t it be beautiful & just for the politicians to hear our stories?
For 6 million parent-carers, 700,000 young carers across the country
All struggling financially, physically & mentally while caring for the ones we love
There is nothing more humiliating or heartbreaking for a disabled child than being unable to access anything other children enjoy.
Wiping tears because they have to lay on a toilet floor, or because they can’t join their peers in play is crushing.
What is wrong with this country?
