as far as chester's designs go, i've posted this before but these are all the designs he had. no sprites were made for him besides the ones that exist now. i believe leo wanted to save him for last, since he's animated by individual frames and not pieces (besides his head)

i later redrew gf to be less of an edit, but she did still look like an edit, so that's probably why gf did look like an edit in public builds of d-sides, up until demo 2, where we unanimously decided that she could be redrawn and even have a new idle, with the tapping finger.

when i first drew gf, i was just playing around with new designs. she was supposed to be a recolour with a slightly different design like the first bf, but i wound up giving her a jacket and pigtails, which turned into everyone having new designs.

when i initially made concepts for the d-sides characters, i traced them over the original sprites, and i expected leo to follow suit. each time, he went above and beyond and redrew them entirely, so they looked way different. these were my original concepts for some characters. https://t.co/9sxuTCr1s4

i was trying to beat fucked accelerant but the game froze, but when it started running again, i wasn't dead but the game was still running and the chart wasn't playing, but every event still played out and just stacked on top of one another, so it looked like this
