In Rockman X2 we are introduced to the X-Hunters most importantly Serges. The Original text heavily implies he is a vessel for Dr.Wily conciousness or some kind of host. He rebuilt Zero and created the Z-Saber. Hes the only one to ever refer to X as Rockman.
