Hiding in plain sight.
More graffiti shenanigans in the gloomy edgelands. Oil, gloss and #collage on paper.
Sketches by the River Sheaf.
#urbanart #sketchbook On every wall, fence, gable, bridge and shutter a mark is made. I exist.
The retreat
Peace becomes commodity
Bought in gift shop of retreat
A lump sum that will set you free
Voting quietly with your feet
Running quick to stay behind
Learning how to empty days
Cyclops kings amongst the blind
With all their funny modern ways
Morn @IMcMillan
Big sky.
More tissue #collage, using the pigment in the tissue to bleed into oil paints. A strange way to capture a moment. Indeed, a strange way to pass the time. #landscape
Two sketches of the bridges from Berwick quayside
Oil pastel, charcoal, pencil, water crayons. #mixedmedia #sketch
Stricken
Like a bold imposter
On the picket line
Shouting in a whisper
That placard is mine
Negotiating blindly
Walking out & off
All I am is solely
Paid but not enough
Coins & bouncing notes
Shrinking 12 per cent
Matching trader’s boots
Time & effort spent
Morn @IMcMillan
The valley, with and without poles.
Poles is always best. Oil and water pastel with charcoal on paper.
How I make the sky
Excessive white oil pastel
Applied as caked coat
Skittish pencil lines after
Klee but more uncertain
Slabs of tissue
Like blood in snow with white spirit
Black tumbrels of crayon
And charcoal like lost girders
Steel palette knife rips away
M @IMcMillan
At dusk they briefly come alive.
Oil pastel, watercolour and charcoal on paper, looking up the silent valley.
