Day 34
Woke very early this morning, to early to do anything else so got my brushes out and did this snowy scene. Seem to love this type of weather along with mist, fog, rain and wind. Guess it's because I find deep blue summer paintings a bit of a bore.
Finally, after doing absolutely nothing but help daughters at their houses + doing work on own house, I got the old watercolour paints out and did this.. IMHO it's not to good, I overworked it a little (well maybe a lot) but hopefully in the coming weeks this will improve. LOL
Spent a lot of time over the years in the Yorkshire Dales and have several well stocked sketch books to show for it. I might even get around to using them again one day....
For now I will just show a few of my completed ones from yesteryear.
Titled.. Let's get shelter lad..
Something a little different today in that it's a watercolour painting.
This was created using altered perspective and using just one colour.
Titled... Work Day Blues...
Enjoyed doing these single colour paintings as they took more concentration than full coloured ones.
Still practising with my watercolours to get the "feeling" for my art again. Towards end of week I am hoping to move on to my acrylic paints.
For now a mixture of study pieces
A Yorkshire Dales quirky painting (One man and his dog....)
I used to do a lot of Yorkshire Dales and the Pennines
Seem to be doing a number of weather related painting lately
Through the Fog, Whatever the Weather
I have walked along this river many times when I was young, even fell in it on more than one occasion. Lovely times
