Now Paul prob wants to mentor others, and it's fitting that Ash is prob the first one after their history together. He purposefully used the champ's aces to trian Ash - I feel like that's his way of not only helping Ash, but also thanking him for how much Ash influenced him in DP

so i'm not sure if this was intentional or not but i like how Ash first met Paul because of his elekid's electric attacks and Paul reunited with him because of Electivire's electric attack
