It is nice that there is suddenly a slew of new stuff coming back in print in the next few months - so pick them up!
I was playing METAL GEAR SOLID: REVENGEANCE today and wondering "Who did this super fun action choreography?" Turns out, it was Kensuke Sonomura, one of the best action choreographers working today. His work can be seen in BUSHIDO MAN, ALIEN VS. NINJA and GANTZ.
Don't forget to thank La Befana, the Italian Christmas Witch! She was asked to deliver gifts to Baby Jesus, and she passed on it.
Later on, she changed her mind - but it was January 6th by then - so she decided instead to give her gifts to the children of Italy instead.
On the commentary track for THE LIGHTHOUSE, Robert Eggers mentions some of the the abstract imagery in his film was inspired by a weird experimental feature from Nova Scotia that features a lot of marbling art... He doesn't say the title, but he's talking about THE CRESCENT.
FUN FACT: Heathcliffe (1973) the K-Mart Garfield actually came first. Garfield (1978) is a Heathcliffe rip-off.
