At this point of the process the goal is just to separate each element, hence the random colours!
When working on my personal projects, I use a process slightly different from the industry standard, as I like to have separate colour layers.
I worked in an elementary school a couple years ago, and their library was STACKED with graphic novels. Made my heart sing! Publishers are scrambling to expand their portfolio of GNs for kids and young adult readers. (Which are often a pretty darn good read for adults too!)
