A reoccurring theme in Mariko Tamaki's work seems to be the consideration of spaces; the way we make them our own, how they reflect lingering past versions of ourselves as we grow out of them. It's pretty cool subtle stuff.

My first "big break" in comics was when @mrmarkmillar chose my STARLIGHT script as one of the Millarworld Talent Hunt winners, and published my first ever comics work (previously I'd only been published in scientific journals). Cannot express how grateful I am.
