Working on this meme game taught me how to make quick spritesheets with the essentials in a couple hours each🤔
Kyeara, a gynoid formerly known as K-069. She became a hero after exposing a government ploy to keep a status of "forever war" during the events of ENiGMA. In "Blasting Zone" she is fighting to stop the terrorist known as Je-Suis, who advocates for synthetic supremacy.
Last but not least, Claveira is based on a A.B.A. player also in the GGT Server, so I fused his user avatar with Paracelsus. In his win quote, Claveira dreams of his lovely A.B.A., of which he would like to be the key!
Anotherday, another sprite! (oh, wait, it's #screenshotsaturday, isn't it?). The Bombing God Gremlin is the only grappler in the game and has a relatively limited spritesheet. However, I managed to sneak in a Baki reference or two😅 #pixelart #gamedev #indiegame
Another day, another sprite. The first character I created for GGT Showdown was Afroblob, inspired by the user icon of one of the members of the Guru Guru Tengu Discord server. It's relatively rough compared with the others, but surely does its job😂 #gamedev #indiegame #pixelart
"How many frames are needed to make a fighting game character?" - The surprising (?) answer is "not many, if you design your game the lazy way"😅 For context, here's the full spritesheet for Ghost with a Gun in Guru Guru Tengu Showdown! #gamedev #pixelart #indiegame
