I've discovered that Akira Toriyama wore a Pennzoil hat on his vacation to Bali. He drew Master Rōshi wearing this same hat on the title page of Dragon Ball Chapter 33. This strengthens the argument that Rōshi is Toriyama's proxy. See more insights here:

Can someone send me the original black and white version of this bottom panel from the 21st Tenkaichi Budōkai. A scan or high-res pic would be appreciated. I need it for an article and video. Any language is fine.

@adimzo_ @Forcast_Morte Toriyama does draw most black people that way though. Here's a comparison of a black guy and white guy in the Red Ribbon Army, on the same page. Noticeable difference in their lips.
