I hope I don’t sound like a “boomer/gen wunner” for this but what’s your take on Pokémon starter evolution designs?
Do you miss the simpler approach of “animal turns into bigger animal” from early gens or do you prefer the creative approach with modern newer gens?

I feel like this is gonna be the hottest opinion I’ve taken on this and I’m certain the cartoon community will burn me for this.
Can we please for once have a modern cartoon that in no way makes anyone go “Wow, this show reminds me of these cartoons below!”
It was really cool how at one point, Mario and Sonic both had that one extremely early 2000s as fuck sports spinoff series that had unique designs for the cast and a 2D art style that never saw the light of day again.
Which style do you prefer?

I always loved how Sakurai tried to push Pit as an unofficial/honorary member of the Original 64 crew.
