still just fixing shape, and shade along the way

rough shape> rough shading > design > work more on shading
gave the btm part a cyan screen so it doesnt blend into the bg, and some more highlights for her left hand
thread for fixing lighting and exposure of skadi
merged everything into a layer for both skadi and whale, but rmb to backup save your files before u make big changes, this is my 27th folder for this drawing👀
added a cyan light, mainly just trying out new things
again, like with the front hair i added dark shadows on some edges to give the impression of 'lines'
added layers of shine/linear dodge(add) and im starting a new thread for adding fx and stuff, theanother thread
i want to touch a bit on shading stuff, obv this *can* be subjective and the tips here are just the ones i could thought of off head
with those ideas in mind, i slaped the base color(tried to color pick myself from wheel so color prob a bit off)
and then 3 layers of shadow...

i also sketched the character(always use ref) and i think there were design errors unless im not looking at the right ref

@jny_bwing my brain isnt actually working that well rn so i only have this
composition: since your lighting is like diagonal and u hav 2 focus(face and butterfly) it makes the rule of thirds pretty good here, once that is decided just put the things according to the composition
