Kate Lacour's VIVISECTIONARY is a truly striking book. At times unsettling, brutal, and whimsical, all the while retaining a stunning sense for the all-encompassing cycles of birth and rot, of ascension and entropy, as well as a really stunnig visual sense.

I found Jason’s THE LEFT BANK GANG really poignant in how it frames “the Greats” as tortured artists while also emphasizing that the tortured artist routine is ultimately a pathetic attempt at automythologizing that only ends up hurting people. Jason’s cartooning, too, is a joy.
