This little guy actually had an update some time ago. Also test palettes are fun.
So, I finally got ahold of some old stuff I was working on and I came across this. "Project Spike" which if I remember right was supposed to be my beat em up version of Canon Spike/GunSpike. The art style was meant to be a later Cps1 style. I even edited some portraits to match.
A little sample of what I'm working on. This is actually missing a frame and has some jumping pixels I fixed.
Felt good to revisit this style again, may do more and see where it takes me.
I don't think I've seen anyone mention this but in Necro's stage that scientist in the back is straight from the Street Fighter 2 Movie. I always enjoy little cameos like this. https://t.co/A5zWy9N7Bd
He's getting there as fast as he can. animation by @yotatouch1 details by me #pixelartday #deadlymetropolis
Axel 3 took inspiration from his "Project x Zone" appearance, probably the best iteration of this design. I'm really thinking of redrawing the others later heh heh.

Rock On! This little lady exposed my weakness to small characters. I also needed a little time away in between so it took longer than expected. So that's the entire main cast aside from a few variants, think I'll challenge myself with a certain boxing Kangaroo. :)
Another enjoyable one, the old sprite was pretty boring, not a lot to it so I took inspiration from her cover art depictions and design doc sketches to spruce it up a bit. Might redraw Blaze 1 for consistency. 🤔
Palettes: Original, Duel/US Boxart, Jill Valentine, Justin Bailey
