Another curious tidbit regarding Barrel Blast—a render exists for each playable character in the game. Every one of them is doing a Superman-esque flight pose. Every one...except Dixie, who’s pounding her right bongo to get some speed going!

Once again Dixie breaks the mold.

DK: King of Swing has an interesting 2D art direction completely unique to the Donkey Kong series. Since the DKC series has had 3D graphics from the start, it was rare we got to see the DK cast in a hand-drawn style.

A DKC with this kind of art could be neat. Good Feel maybe?

Whether it’s Donkey Kong Country, Mario Kart, or yes, even Smash Bros, we want to see Dixie Kong make her mark on more games. This isn’t the end for her, nor is it the end for us! Let’s never stop promoting our ponytail-twirlin’, elephant-riding, bubblegum-chewing champion!

Mario Tennis Aces sure is getting a lot of great DLC characters. But you know who we’ve never seen in a tennis game before? Thanks again for the art, @SeashoreWar!
