I 1st draw out the outlines of the skull and some muscles, especially at the mouth
It's more interesting than just sketching
But I'd like to reach a level where anatomical sketches r no longer needed, I'll can just imagine it on paper or canvas.. and draw with this idea in mind.

But if you compare my copy and the original, you can notice a lot of differences.
