I always wanted us to win
but you never took the first step
so now my pride won’t let it go
and tomorrow seems much brighter
vertigo
as I drift into another place
and the walls are white and empty again
but the future isn’t what it used to be
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end, always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well, you said that we would still be friends
But I'll admit that I was glad it was over
and, so I was drawing without references and an androgynous Virgin Mary of piercing eyes appeared… 🤲 ✝️ 👩
I don’t think this space has ever bridged the gap between female empowerment and giving visibility to the systematic gentrification of safe spaces and pronoun sanctuaries in the non-binary sphere of white-cis-male led sub-sectors of modern society especially in the west, but ok.
