It ain't all about the longcoats either. Aesthetically the Aincrad Arc of SAO is the best ever. I don't think ANYTHING compares to it. The light armor over loose clothing, the longish hairstyles EVERYBODY wore, the weapon designs... NONE OF THIS IS EVER REPLICATED

Major SAO characters almost never wear armor but you can't help but love the design. It's meant to be light and unlike teela's ugly man armor actually fits the characters
