Date: October 30, 1944. Location: Seeadler Harbor, Manus Island, Papua New Guinea. Event: USN light cruiser Honolulu sits in the floating drydock ABSD-2 showing her port side damaged by a Japanese aerial torpedo on October 20. The ship is out of service until the end of the WW2.

Date: May 23, 1941. Location: 100 nmi South-West of Iceland. Event: The last known photo of intact battlecruiser Hood is taken from battleship Prince of Wales. Hood is moving at a speed of ca. 18 kn. Current status: Wreck 63°20′N, 31°50′W, depth of 2800 meters.
